Kindergarten

K-3, General Music, 30 minute classes on a rotating schedule year round.  There will be one grade level performance at the Deforest HS Performing Arts Center.

In Kindergarten, students will learn:

• Musical opposites  (loud/quiet, fast/slow, high/low)

• Steady beat

• Pitch matching

• Voice Choice (whisper, talk, shout, sing)

• Basic Rhythms (using rhythm syllables- ta, ti ti)

• Play various pitched and unpitched percussion instruments 

• Musical games and activities
