Special Educational Teacher
Welcome! I am the Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) for students in Grades 4-8. I have been a SERT at Pringle for the past 3 years and I truly enjoy the Pringle community. I am the mother of 3 very boisterous boys and enjoy joining them on my scooter in the skatepark!
As a SERT, I work collaboratively with teachers and Educational Assistants to support students' behavioural, emotional, and/or academic needs. I also complete academic assessments for students in-risk, communicate with community agencies, and meet regularly with a Special Education team of professionals. I am available to speak with parents/guardians to discuss your concerns and advocate for your child's needs. If you would like to speak with me, please email emma.poposki@ddsb.ca or call (905) 430-2488.
Special Educational Teacher
I am the Primary Special Education Resource Teacher at Pringle. It is my role to collaborate with teachers, families, and community agencies regarding any academic, emotional, and/or behavioural concerns a child may be facing. This is my fifth year at Pringle and my fourth year in the SERT role. I returned last January after being off on maternity with my daughter who is turning two next week! I also have a son who will be six in December. I am very grateful to be a part of the Pringle community. If you would like to touch base with me regarding your child and special education services, please email me at rebecca.medcalf@ddsb.ca or call me at (905) 430-2488.
