Teacher
Hello Families,
My name is Christine Monaco and I’m a kindergarten teacher at Pringle Creek P.S. I’ve been teaching with the Durham Board since 2008 and have taught all grades in the primary division. I have spent the last two years teaching Kindergarten and love watching the amazing growth that takes place during these early years of formal education. Together with my teaching partner, we work to create an inviting classroom filled with hands on learning activities. Along with our structured learning, we work to create a play-based, social environment that teaches children the self-regulation and socialization skills needed to continue growing and learning throughout elementary school.
I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely, Mrs. Monaco
Early Childhood Educator
Hello Panthers,
I am a Designated Early Childhood Educator with the board for 8 wonderful years. I enjoy providing a fun play based learning environment where each student has a voice and their ideas are welcomed. My past and present students and their families have told me that they enjoy my reading, my in-depth inquiries, and my passion for my job. In 2019 I was nominated for The Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education. That same year I received the honour to represent my profession and Pringle Creek Public School in an Early Years video, highlighting the importance of Early Childhood Educators in the classrooms. I am looking forward to beginning OUR journey and creating lasting memories with you. Stay safe and healthy until we meet in person.
Love, Mrs. Kirkpatrick
Mrs. Monaco and Mrs. Kirkpatrick have created a google site for their classroom which is continually updated with their activities and information. Please use the red button on the left to access and learn further about what is happening in their classroom.
Hi! My name is Amanda Hollinshead and this will be my 14th year teaching. In previous years, you would have seen (and heard!) me in the music room teaching band, recorders, ukuleles and much more! This year I am enjoying a new role of providing coverage to 6 classes and expanding my teaching toolbox to include art, phys ed., health, and drama. I still get a little bit of music in there too.
When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, going for hikes, and watching cheesy hallmark movies. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Pringle!
I am teaching in this class for coverage.
