Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Francis. I am teaching grade 7/8 this year. I am thrilled to be back at Pringle for another year and found it very hard to be away for so long during the shutdown. I have an outstanding class and we have all had a smooth transition back into learning.
I am a mother of two girls, ages 2 and 5, who keep me busy most of the time. They enjoy being outside, dressing up like princesses, watching Frozen, making messes, eating 100 snacks a day, going camping and riding their bikes. The picture I have included to show is from a recent summer camping trip to Presqu'ile Provincial Park. Lauren (5 years old) is back to SK this year and is very happy that school is open again. And Alex (2 years old) returned to her daycare which she is entirely indifferent about.
When I do get a spare minute to spend without my girls, I do enjoy puzzles, board games, going out for (or ordering in) wings with my husband or socializing with friends. I also enjoy my job as a teacher a lot and try to have fun at school every day!
Thanks for stopping by this page, and I wish you all a happy and safe rest of the year!
Hello Families, my name is Richard Bishop and I’m your son/daughter’s teacher this year. This is my 3rd year at Pringle and my 8th year teaching overall. 2020-21 is different from previous years at school as I am responsible for almost every subject for my students. This will be a learning experience for all of us together as I navigate some subjects that I’ve never taught before.
The easiest way to contact me is through remind - if you haven’t joined my class already please do using the link: https://www.remind.com/join/mrrbishop Alternatively emailing me works as well:
Please feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns you may have as the year goes on.
Our class will be leaning heavily towards technology use due to the flexibility required by COVID. We are utilizing Google Classroom to house most of our assignments. I’ve made a year-long master calendar that is updated a few times a week with student work. Please bookmark the link below to access it!

I’m excited for the year ahead!
Greetings to Parents and Guardians.
Normally, we would meet each other face to face, but this year the Curriculum Night must be done virtually. Unfortunately, I am not able to join with you this evening due to a medical leave. In a few short weeks, I expect to return to my Gr. 8 class for my 21st year at Pringle Creek P.S. Wow, I’m getting old! This year promises many challenges, societally as we deal with the effects of a global pandemic and academically as we navigate the requirements of the curriculum. Be assured that we will take it all in stride and get through it together. In my absence, Coach K is holding down the fort in Rm. 106 and the kids are up and running with the Google classroom as our platform for learning. If there is a need to return to distance learning at home, the Google classroom will continue to be the platform for communication, teaching and learning.
Upon my return, please don’t hesitate to connect with me if you have any questions or concerns. You may do so by:
Email: Ronald.hustins@ddsb.ca
Phone: (905) 430-2488 or using the Remind App which I initiated with you a month ago. Be assured that your communications through Remind are private.
