IMPORTANT RENTAL INFORMATION:

DCSD Car Rental Policy

• Rental of vans capable of transporting more than 10 passengers are prohibited. When renting a vehicle, purchase the maximum allowable rental car insurance. 

• There is NO District Insurance available to any person who drives a rental car who has not followed and complied with the District's MVR standards. 

• Staff members must have a small vehicle permit issued by Transportation and a current CPR/First Aid certification to transport students in any DCSD vehicle.  Private Drivers ARE NOT covered by DCSD insurance, driver's insurance is PRIMARY and the driver assumes ALL Risk.

• PAYMENT: Car rental companies do not accept pcards that are not in an individual's name, so please make sure to plan ahead for this. 

• If traveling without students, rental cars must have written approval from your site's Cabinet Member. No exceptions.
