Senior: Y9
Students follow a Transition Curriculum to prepare for the rigour of the challenging IGCSE subjects in Y10-Y11. During Y9, students make informed decisions regarding the IGCSE Optional Subjects. Students will have one afternoon of Games every week. Their tutor periods are part of the curriculum and cover careers, personal development and well-being.

The students will be assessed throughout the year using a combination of formative and summative assessments and, in late May, the students will sit the end of year summative assessments in all classroom based subjects. For English, Mathematics and the Sciences the students will sit Cambridge assessments which will allow for benchmarking against international standards. The teachers will report on student attainment and progress each term, with two grade cards, one written report and one parent-teacheer meeting per academic year.
