CURRICULUM | Pre-Prep: Y1-Y2

Year 1 and Year 2 marks a shift from the EYFS curriculum to more subject-specific learning.  The curriculum follows the British National Curriculum, which is broad and balanced with an international flavour. Inquiry based learning in the Pre-Prep builds on the active, hands on learning that has taken place in the Foundation Stage.  Many subjects are taught through a topic based, integrated curriculum approach. Valuable links will also be made, where possible, to core subjects like English and Mathematics. Jigsaw is taught each week. At the beginning of each term parents will receive details of the term’s topics and the intended curriculum coverage in the form of a Curriculum Overview.
