DBS follows the Cambridge International Curriculum, which is broad and balanced and is modelled on the National Curriculum for England but with an international flavour. We also incorporate the best practices of the UK independent school approach and use additional resources and systems to provide a High Quality Learning experience for our students. Well-being is taught each week and we follow the Jigsaw curriculum for Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education.. At the beginning of each term parents will receive details of the term’s topics and the intended curriculum coverage in the form of a Curriculum Overview.

From Y7, all students will be taught by specialist teachers for all subjects. The students will be assessed throughout the year using a combination of formative and summative assessments. The teachers will report on student attainment and progress every half term (apart from HT5), with the HT2 and HT6 reports also including written comments.
