Research:
When teachers discuss technology use during faculty meetings, observations, and department meetings, they’re more likely to believe that it’s valued within the school culture (Richardson & Mancabelli, 2011).
Summary:
Seventy percent of teachers in 2022 discuss technology less to half to never at grade-level team meetings. Sixty-one percent report of people surveyed less than half to never during the evaluation process.
Goal:
Decreasing the Never and Rarely sections and having the other sections rise by three percentage points.
Actions:
Encourage more technology discussion through the TILT members at the various buildings
Use building coaches to discuss embedding technology with n the curriculum.
Have technology celebrations occur at the faculty meeting.
Encourage adding a technology conversation during the evaluation process.
Practices and Procedures
Summary:
Sixty-two percent of staff report that they rarely to never have any filters blocking access to needed websites.
Goal:
To continue to improve the access to school-appropriate websites and monitor for inappropriate web traffic.
Actions:
Use the school web filters to look at both blocked and allowed sites.
Keep open channels of communication with teachers when it comes to sites they need unblocked.
