Concerts in the Park begin in June. They will take place at Riverside Park. The address is 304 E Park St, Grants Pass, OR. They are every Tuesday, starting at 4:30 PM and ending at 6:30 PM. There will be three June concerts. The first concert will be on June 15. The Roadsters will be performing. They produce a wide variety of music, including country, classic rock, pop, and the blues. On June 22, The KOZ Band will put on their 80’s tribute act. They cover popular artists such as Journey, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, and Bon Jovi. On June 29, the rock band, John Dough Boys, will perform. The option to bring a picnic or buy from the food vendors is available. Administration is free, but make sure to call before attending in case the event gets cancelled due to the coronavirus.
The Antique Tractor and Engine Show is an event meant for people of all ages that are interested in pioneer farms, flea markets, food, and tractor pulls. Each year, people from all over the United States come to this annual Father’s Day weekend tractor show. There will be the Antique Tractor Parade with Tractor Pulls, two acres of antiques, old iron, and vendor booths. In the flea market, there will be live music, and activities for kids, such as face-painting and building birdhouses. Due to COVID, indoor museums are closed. Masks are only required during the “Parade of Power,” as long as people are social distancing. These procedures are accurate as of May 21, 2021. This event will occur on June 19-20, Father’s Day weekend. It will take place at Pottsville Historical Museum. The address is 2400 Pleasant Valley Rd, Merlin, Oregon. It will start at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM on Saturday. On Sunday, it will be from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is $6.00 per adult and free for ages sixteen and younger.
The Lavender Festival is an annual event in Applegate. The lavender is harvested and distilled as an essential oil. As of May 24, 2021, the plan is to have craft classes, arts, and craft vendors available. The vendors will include some popular local brands and food vendors. There are various lovely lavender products. One of the most famous items from the festival is the lavender ice cream. It will occur on June 25th through the 27th and July 16th through the 18th. It starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM all three days. This year, the Frankie Hernandez Trio will be performing live music on the 26th, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. It is meant for people of all ages. The festival will be at the English Lavender Farm. The address is 8040 Thompson Creek Rd, Applegate, Oregon. Admission is free, but make sure to bring some money for the food and amazing lavender products!
Art in the Garden is an annual fundraiser for the Grants Pass Museum of Art that has been put on for over 20 years. There are multiple private gardens, filled with art by local artists, for sale on a self-guided tour. For the first 200 tickets bought, a full-color booklet with beautiful photos of the gardens, and a map, are included. Admission is $25 per ticket. They will be available upstairs in the museum, above gallery one. The elevator is now available. The address is 229B SW G St, Downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. It will start at 10:00 am and end at 4:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday of June 12th & 13th.
