CUC Symposium Accommodations
Algonquin College Residence
Algonquin College Residence is a three-to-five-minute walk from the Robert C. Gillett Student Commons (Building E), where most of the workshops and meals will be held.
(For information about parking, please refer to the Travel page. We strongly recommend reading this before you arrive on campus).
Check in is available after 4pm daily. The block of suites reserved for Symposium participants is at the far end of the residence buildings. The numbering system can be confusing; when you check in, ask the residence staff for the most direct way to get to your room.
Parking Lot #10 is beside the Residence. If you are staying at the Residence, there is a big discount for guests - $6.25/day instead of $20 - you'll receive a QR code after check in, and pay using the HonkMobile app from the App Store or Google Play. Depending on the number of days you're staying, this might be a more economical option than purchasing 4 or 10-day permits from lot 8 or 9.
Note: CanUUdle youth conference participants will sleep onsite at the First Unitarian Church of Ottawa.
The Suites
The residence consists of two-bedroom suites with a double bed in each room, a shared bathroom, and a shared kitchenette with a small dining area. Please note that there are no cookware, dishes, utensils, kettle or coffeemaker provided. There is a fridge and microwave in each suite.
Barrier-free suites are available on request.
There is a kitchen on each floor, and a small kitchen with fridge and microwave in each suite. However, no utensils, dishes or cookware are provided. Laundry room facilities are also available, and laundry cards can be purchased at the Algonquin College Residence desk.
