Travel, Accessibility, Accommodations and Meals

The 2023 National Symposium on Living into the 8th Principle will be a multiplatform event. You may attend most of the symposium’s events online but–for the full experience–we invite you to attend in person if you can.

The Canadian Unitarian Council (CUC) and Host Committee have made arrangements with Algonquin College to accommodate out-of-town attendees. Book your accommodations today.

Home hospitality: a number of Ottawa area UUs have offered to host attendees in their homes. There are a limited number of spots available, so if you need one of these, please fill in this form and the Home Hospitality Coordinator will be in touch with you. Home hosts are not expected to provide meals or transportation.

Visit our travel page to learn how to get to Algonquin College from Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport or the Ottawa Train Station. The page also contains a map of the campus, information about parking, and useful tips for those traveling by train.

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and special request meals will be available. You must order your meals when you register for the symposium. Click here to view the menu options.

We are committed to making this event fully accessible to all attendees. The campus of Algonquin College meets the standards set by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
