Fire Football Schedule

A. CTK 5th/6th grade football participate in the Little Rock Private School League (LRPSL). Members schools include CAC, Christ Little Rock, Episcopal, Holy Souls, Immaculate Conception, Little Rock Christian and Pulaski Academy. 

B. In the interest of safety, it will not be required that each child be played a minimum amount of time. A smaller student should not be played against a larger student. Coaches should try to play each player an equal amount of time.

C. Any player who weighs more than 160 lbs. without pads may not line up in the backfield except as a punter in a punting situation.

D. There will be 3 time outs per half.

E. The quarter will be 7 minutes in length, stopping per NFHS rules.

F. Half-time will be 10 minutes.

G. Once regulation ends, there is an optional 5th quarter for those players who did not get to participate in the game. If numbers allow, only those with limited game time should participate. 

H. Home games will be played at Catholic High School on Saturday's.  Away games held at other participating schools fields.

I. Practices will occur at the CTK field  or CHS at least 3x a week and begin in August. 

J. 5 - 6 grade football players will need to purchase pads and helmets. 

K. Four referees will be used, but play can start with only two present.

L. The home team will be responsible for the opening prayer and the chain gang.

M. Uniforms purchased shall follow NFHS rules with the following exception: “The school name may be above and below the numbers.”

N. During the game the players and coaches on the sidelines must stay between their twenty and forty yard lines.

O. Should the football season end with a tie, the tie breaker will be the fewest points scored upon a team will be higher ranked team.

P. 5 - 6 grade football will play with an intermediate size ball.

Q. Uniform will be provided 

• wash cold, hang to dry

• returned in plastic bag with child's name as soon as season ends.
