Soccer Schedule

A. Soccer - all students in grades kindergarten through 2nd grade that attend Christ the King School.

B.  Soccer - Coaches are assigned to teams in the following age divisions:

1. Under 6 - Kindergarten (Coed)

2. Under 8 - 1st and 2nd grades

• For Under 6-age divisions, parent volunteers are needed each year to coach these teams. No prior soccer experience is necessary.

• Coaches for Under 8 (1st & 2nd grade) divisions will also be parent volunteers.

C. All players must play at least one half of each game.

D. Team Assignment

1. Coach’s child only – Head coach will pick team. Those wanting to assist will do so for the team their child is on.

2. Kindergarten Draft- Random draw to assign players to teams. 

3. Gr. 1-2 - Players are assigned to teams. 

4.  From fall to spring, teams will be kept together, if possible. 

5. If new players sign up to play in the spring,   they will be assigned to teams. (Coaches will agree with placement).

E.  Games will be held on Saturday's.  Kindergarten will begin at 9:00 a.m. and 1st - 2nd will begin at 10 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. 

F Uniform will  need to be purchased from the CTK Athletic Directory. 

G. Other Rules 

1. Under 6:  3 players on field at one time

   • Games go for 8 weeks

   • No Goalies

   • Ball goes out of bounds put back into play

   • 4 - 8 min quarters with 5 min half-time 

   • Soccer size 3

2. Under 8:  4 players on field at one time

   • Games go for 8 weeks

   • No Goalies

   • Ball goes out of bounds put back into play

   •  4 - 8 min quarters with 5 min half-time

   •  Soccer size 3
