Volleyball Schedule

A. All play and penalties will be governed by the NFHS rules provided that there is not a league rule that supersedes it.

B. Volleyball games can be played two weeknights when necessary.

C. The service area will extend 5 feet into the court for the 5th and 6th grade division.

D. The post-season tournament will be single elimination.

E. All players must wear kneepads. 

F. Volleyball - Players will be assigned to teams as follows: 

1. Coach’s child only–Head coach will draft team. Those wanting to assist will do so for the team their child is on. 

2. Players are chosen by a supervised draft to assure equality.

3. Teams will be kept the same for 5th and 6th grade, unless the number of team members changes. Teams will be re-divided in the 7th grade. Any new players signing up to play will be assigned to teams by the Athletic Director and coaches, with an equitable distribution of players maintained.

G. Every player must play in each match. This means they must play in the first or second game of the match. 

H. A grade level team may play up players from the grade below to have no more than 8 players. 

• A coach may not play the player (who is playing ‘up’) more than a team player. A violation of this rule will result in a forfeit for the team.

I. The 5th and 6th grade teams will use the light weight volleyball.

J. There can only be 2 non-players (coaches) sitting on the bench. Ineligible players can sit on the bench with the team. 

K.  Home game nights at CTK 

L. Typical game nights will begin as early as 5:15 p.m. with the last game starting as late as 8:00 p.m.  

M. Practices are at least twice a week and begin in August. 

N. Uniform will be provided 

• wash cold, hang to dry

• returned in plastic bag with child's name as soon as season ends.
