Come join us for one of the three events we are working this fall. Angie and I serve together at Dallas (Las Colinas) and Charleston as Shop Manger and Planner. In San Antonio, I will serve as the Planner and Angie will be there to help but won’t be serving as the Shop Manager. You can either simply attend or come and serve alongside us. At each event, I am the planner and part of my job is recruiting 3 - 4 couples that will volunteer throughout the weekend. These responsibilities won’t keep you from hearing what happens in the ballroom. The responsibilities start Friday at 10 a.m. and go through roughly 2:30 - 3:00 on Sunday. You would start Friday by helping Angie set up the Shop and learn how to assist our guests who purchase resources and gifts from the shop. You would also receive training on how to check in the other guests as they arrive Friday evening. After everything is set up, you spend the remainder of your weekend helping in the Shop during the breaks.  Finally, you help pack up what is left over so it is ready to be picked up and shipped either to the warehouse or to another event. Any couples that serve in this way receive a free registration to the event. Whether you come to attend or serve, we would love to see you!

House update

The progress on our house continues, and we are quickly approaching our closing date of September 29th! Over the last several weeks they have installed tile, electrical outlets, switches, lights, plumbing fixtures, garage doors, water heater and many other things that I can’t think of right now. This week we are schedule to have an inspection and walk through. As you can imagine, there are tons of details to get lined up so we can get moved in the first week of October. Please pray that all of the final details will come together. Pray also that everything that has been in storage for the last 13 months will arrive undamaged and all the appliances (coffee maker…because we are going to need coffee, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer) will work properly after sitting so long.  DR Horton is trying to close on 40+ houses by the end of September, so pray for us and all of our new neighbors as we move in and begin to meet each other. It won’t be long until you can stop in and see us at our new address!

          • Pray for Angie and I as we began participating in group bible studies and are meeting new people.

          • Pray for us as we meet many new neighbors in the coming weeks, all of whom will be new to the neighborhood like us.  

          • Pray for us as we will be unpacking boxes that were packed 13+ months ago and that we can get settled in quickly.

          • Praise - Brandon has a job offer from his internship.
