2020 has been a difficult year for everyone - marital/family strife, numerous unknowns, job losses/furloughs, periods of school and work from home, etc. Many married couples faced with higher than normal levels of stress from COVID-19 are turning to divorce as a solution to their problems. There are differing statistics depending on the study, but the divorce rate is up. FamilyLife has even seen a 70+ percent increase in searches related to divorce on our website.

Knowing that many families are facing difficulties, FamilyLife has sent emails over the last several months requesting prayer request. Here are some of the countless responses received and prayed for individually. 

After COVID-19 and related stressors hit, my husband, a generally Godly man with chronic mental health issues (bipolar), kicked me out in April . The Lord has provided generously for me. We’re in a solid, Biblical church,  in counseling & rebuilding trust. But. as you can imagine, it’s hard. We’re still living  apart as I seek the Lord’s timing on reunifying (100% our goal). Pray as the Lord leads you. God bless - Jennifer

My husband is currently deployed with the Army so I would appreciate prayers for him as well as for me and our 3 young sons. Thank you! - April

We are in the process of blending two families after grieving the loss of spouses/parents. Two of the children are adopted from foster care and have issues related to birth mom care before birth. Please pray for wisdom parenting them since the parenting tools are quite different than with our birth children. Thanks. - Liz

Two years ago I went through the Stepping Up video study as a single guy. Now as a newly married man (4 months and counting!) I’m planning to co-lead the series and am praying for God to send me the right group of men. Please pray for men for the study and for my wife and I! - Daniel
