Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
The Barber family is approaching a season of big changes. Brandon is finishing high school and preparing to attend the University of Central Arkansas after he graduates. Rachel is looking to change jobs and start her practicums in grad school. We are going to be empty nesters and will be moving out of Arkansas sometime in the next 22 months. Also, I am sure there are many things ahead of us that we do not know yet, but we all have comfort in knowing God goes before us.
Brandon just finished the regular football season with Bryant going 10-0! Now they move into the playoffs and try to repeat as State Champions. Then he just has one semester left of high school and will graduate on May 18th. His plans after high school are to attend the University of Central Arkansas. He will pursue a degree in business while working on prerequisites to apply for PT school. Brandon’s long term goal is to be a physical therapist.
Rachel has been working for the last year and a half with autistic children in Northwest Arkansas in their homes and schools. She is also a full-time graduate student at John Brown University where she is working to complete a double masters in Mental Health and Marriage and Family. She is currently looking for a job that will work better with her practicum schedule, which will start in January.
Angie and I have big changes coming our way, and we are seeking both God’s wisdom and His peace for our next chapter as a couple. FamilyLife as a whole is transitioning to Orlando over the next two years and our department is in the second part of this transition that will be complete by August of 2021. We are thankful for the extra year we will have in Arkansas as we launch Brandon to college about 50 minutes from where we currently live.
Where we will eventually settle is still up in the air since as a planner we have the option to work remotely and continue to serve in this role. Angie will also begin her training to work along side me in the role of Shop Manager at the Weekend to Remember sometime in the next 6-18 months. We are currently in the process of being approved to work remotely and see what location in which we will serve. Our prayer is to be in Texas close to a city that we currently host a Weekend to Remember and close to an airport that will allow us to serve in other locations across the country.
Please pray for us to have wisdom and discernment as we navigate the path ahead of us. Thank you for how you support us!

We were ready to call it quits on each other. After being convicted by the Holy Spirit, we both realized God does have a great plan for us. FamilyLife WTR has provided us the essential tools to finally become the one He has intended us to be.
Husband - 3 1/2 years
It was a wonderful “reset” for us. We had time to relax apart from the kids and the daily grind. It was thought provoking, convicting, and encouraging. My husband and I had a chance to move closer to each other and re-prioritize each other. It was just the reset button we needed!

Pray as we continue to process the news of FamilyLife relocating to Orlando, Florida and what that means for our family, coworkers and friends.
Pray for the many Weekend to Remember getaways that happen between now and Christmas. Pray hearts are encouraged and lives changed.
Rachel’s clinical hours for grad school begin in January. Please pray as she figures out a workable grad school and work schedule.
A shout of praise—both of our parents and Angie’s sister were able to come to see us to celebrate Senior Night with Brandon!
