At FamilyLife, we have long desired to see Every Home a Godly Home. Yet time and time again, couples have expressed that one of their biggest challenges in achieving oneness is parenting. To help, we are preparing to launch the largest new content offering in FamilyLife’s 42 year history.  

Our new parenting initiative will include a DVD-based small group curriculum, web portal, workbooks, age specific online videos, articles, devotionals, and more.  The initiative launches on May 1st with FamilyLife’s first full-length feature movie, Like Arrows.  

In a two-night Fathom event, Like Arrows will be shown in over 850 theaters across the country.  It invites us to witness one couple’s raw parenting journey and promises to stir the hearts of parents and church leaders toward intentional action.

FamilyLife’s first feature film explores the challenges and joys that come with raising children. Through a journey that unfolds over 50 years, Charlie and Alice discover the unmistakable power of family. Together, they learn that knowing and living by God’s Word is what brings transformation and hope to any family.

Executive produced by Alex and Stephen Kendrick, and FamilyLife’s Dennis and Barbara Rainey and Bob Lepine, the parenting movie LIKE ARROWS will release in theaters for two nights only, May 1 and May 3. 

It is our prayer that God uses this movie to start a movement of intentional Christian parenting around the world!   

Angie and I will be in Central Texas between April 29th and May 3rd so that we can watch the movie with you, hear your reactions, give a personal update on our ministry, and invite more people to join in on what God is doing. After previewing the movie, one father commented, “I thought I was doing a pretty good job as a father, but I realize now that it’s not enough just to have peace in the house.  I need to start thinking bigger.  This movie has inspired me to get more involved with my kids.  They grow up too fast.”

• Pray for our family as we continue to grieve the passing of Billy’s brother, Bobby (Robert), on March 18.

• Praise that Rachel’s scholarship situation/problem was resolved and she is on track to graduate in May.

• Pray for us as we host seven couples that are considering joining the work that God is doing through FamilyLife.

• Pray for Angie as she serves at the upcoming Women’s Getaway at The Cove in Asheville, NC.

• Please continue to pray for friends who are facing difficult health and family situations. Pray God would use us as He sees fit.
