Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
Here are some 2017 highlights from each member of our family.
Brandon I turned 16 years old and enjoy being able to drive myself to football practices and having opportunities to hang out with friends. This summer I maintained my lawn business and plan to keep running it throughout high school. Another one of my favorite things was watching my football team have a great season. We went 10-2, losing in the state semifinals. I also enjoyed meeting with a group of guys every Wednesday evening and learning about God and growing closer to Him!
Rachel 2017 was full of academic endeavors. I completed my last internship in June with Mission Denton and then was able to work at home over the summer. I had the unique opportunity to begin working for a local neighborhood magazine as a photographer. August marked the beginning of my senior year. The fall semester was consumed with completing my senior thesis alongside two other group members. As I look ahead, I’m excited to complete my undergraduate work and begin graduate school.
Angie My 2017 was highlighted by several special events. Billy and I spent a few days away celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed hiking, playing games and spending time together. In October, we enjoyed a weekend in Siloam Springs with Rachel that included antique shopping and trying our skills at racquetball after a 20+ year hiatus. I’ll be glad to show you the video of my winning shot against Brandon. :-) We made a trip to Texas to see family and attend a BU football game. I ran the Baylor Line with some special friends and 800+ women. It was a ton of fun and a huge highlight for this Baylor girl! The trip was even better because we were able to spend some special time with my parents, sister and brother-in-law.
Billy My top highlight for 2017 was celebrating our 25th anniversary with Angie in Oark, AR. Brandon and I enjoyed building garden boxes and planting our first Arkansas garden. I traveled to Hilton Head, Houston, Sugar Land and St. Louis. and enjoyed serving the Weekend to Remember guests. This fall I loved watching Brandon play football, going to visit Rachel in Siloam and our trip to central Texas to visit family, friends and catch a Baylor football game. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our family this coming year.
In early November, Angie began having dizzy spells and headaches on a daily basis. Many other symptoms came and went over the course of almost three months, but the main problem continues to be dizzy spells and headaches. After many visits to doctors and specialists, lab work, and other tests we still do not have any answers. We are thankful some major things have been ruled out. At the time of this writing, she is scheduled to see a neurologist. Thank you for your outpouring of prayer for us in this journey. We appreciate your love and concern and will update you when we know more.
Angie completed a Biblical Ethics class last week. Please pray for her as she studies for the final exam and writes a paper.
Please pray for answers for Angie’s health issues.
Please pray for friends who are facing difficult health and family situations. Pray God would use us as He sees fit.
Pray for our new FamilyLife president and his young family as they transition to their new role and adjust to life in a new city.
