Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
Pray for our team as we host the following couples who feel like God is leading them to join our team at FamilyLife. They each have a burden for families and want to reach people for Christ through marriage and family ministry.
Jeremy and Andrea have had a burden for marriages and families in our nation since they got married. They appreciate the passion they see the leaders and staff of FL have for promoting that same truth that God has placed on their hearts. Jeremy is a mechanical design engineer, works with the youth of their church and helps with AV. Andrea uses her experience in the classroom to guide their children at home and children on Sundays and VBS.
Terry and Marcia hope to use the gifts, skills and experiences from the last 30 years of church ministry to further the Great Commission with FamilyLife. They met while they were serving on Cru headquarters staff, and attended a "pre-marriage" conference in 1980. Terry has been the executive pastor of their church for 20 years, and Marcia worked as an administrator in the public schools. In addition, Marcia was on the school board for 12 years and served as the president of the board for 4 years. They have been small group leaders and Marcia has been a leader in the church's women's ministry.
Tony and Kathleen have worked and served in their church and community for over 20 years. Tony manages a marketing team for a communications company and Kathleen works as a ministry assistant at their church. They love serving families and marriages and are passionate about helping to keep them strong and healthy. They have led marriage and family studies in their church and over the last few years have felt God moving them to do something more.
Javier and Luz believe the Lord has been preparing them for full-time marriage and family ministry for years. Born in Mexico, they moved to Canada to help start a church Spanish language ministry. Now in Florida, they lead Spanish translation ministry, discipleship and marriage ministry. In his words, “Three different countries, different cultures and languages, but yet the need to strengthen Families and Marriage is the same, it seems like churches also need practical materials and resources like Weekend to Remember® in order to make this a priority and strategically offset what the enemy has been attacking and destroying in America... the family.” Javier is a regional operations manager for Jamba Juice and Luz is a full-time mom who uses her creative talents to help with hospitality for events at their large church in addition to their other responsibilities there.
Last fall, Keith, a project manager, took early retirement after working for ConocoPhillips for 25 years. Sharon has led many women’s Bible studies and was on the board of a pregnancy care center. In this new season of life, they are seeking God's direction, knowing that His plan is the only plan that works and desiring to help others discover, learn and apply His plan. Keith and Sharon went to their first Weekend to Remember® in the second year of their marriage and have been to several more since.
Brady and Melissa believe God has given them a passion for helping other struggling couples find healing, restoration and salvation through a personal relationship with Christ. They believe He has done a great work in them so that He can now do a great work through them, and they are willing to dedicate the rest of their life to His kingdom work for His glory. Brady is a game warden and Melissa is a homeschool mom and has a dog breeding business.
Greg and Janet have a heart for sharing the gospel, the hope and the forgiveness they have found in Christ with couples who have lost hope. They desire to help build strong biblical families. Greg is a business process consultant with a power company and Janet has been the communication director for a pregnancy resource center. Greg is an elder and helps to lead worship in their church. Janet is also a worship team member, and for several years was a teaching leader for Community Bible Study. The Westbrooks grew up in Australia and have been on mission trips to Argentina and Paraguay.
