Successful completion of Economics or Economics Ideas & Issues is required for graduation.

This course examines the principles of the United States free market economy in a global context. Students will examine their individual responsibility for managing their personal finances. They will analyze the role of supply and demand in determining prices in the factor and product markets and the global nature of these markets.

In addition, students will study changes to the workforce in the U.S. and the role of entrepreneurs as well as the effects of globalization. Students will explore the challenges facing the U.S. and explore various policy-making opportunities available to government to address these challenges. 1/2 Credit
