AP World History highlights the nature of changes in international frameworks and their causes and consequences, as well as comparisons among societies.

Students will learn about the common threads of humanity including trade, religion, politics, society, and technology by investigating these themes from multiple perspectives and making global connections to foster deeper understanding. These goals will be addressed through analysis of texts and primary source materials. By the completion of this course, students will be able to construct and evaluate arguments, recognize and analyze points of view, understand the concepts of continuity and change over time as it applies to vast societies and interactions, compare various societies, and recognize global patterns and human commonalities.
