Regional Tasks
Lead planning and implementation of regional College and Career Fair
Help plan other regional events as requested
Attend regional parent nights/open houses, as available
Build and maintain relationships with regional community colleges, following the process established
Deliver lessons in programs, twice a year at minimum, including co-facilitation/co-teaching of EYF as appropriate
Provide ACCUPLACER and/or ALEKS PPL testing as needed
Proctor MCAS as requested/required
Share College Program outreach materials with students and families. Follow up with students interested in the College Program
Routine Monthly Tasks
Visit programs to meet with youth and TCs
Meet with students to review progress towards their goals, transition plans, and support their ongoing success
Participate in monthly Client Review / Treatment Team Meeting
Attend RETT meetings where student caseloads are being discussedÂ
Support parents and caseworkers to ensure students in the community are registered in school
If appropriate, help students register for the SAT or PSAT
Review summer transcripts, conduct credit audits and update grad grids as necessary
If a student isn’t enrolled in any school by the end of September ECC MUST report to the supervisor
Ensure MCAS needs are accurate in Aspen
Make sure students' Spring MCAS results appear in Aspen (communicate with support@collaborative.org if not)
Make sure EPPs are developed for any 10th or 11th graders who received a score of 455-471 (ELA) or 469-485 (Math) in a 10th grade Spring Test
Conduct Postsecondary Student Orientation in programs
Confirm postsecondary students in the community have books and transportation, understand how to navigate their classes and syllabi and identify additional resources and/or supports
Identify students that need to take the MCAS tests and make sure they are available either in community or in residence
Verify with schools of 12th grade students to ensure the HS diploma has been ordered
Guide and support students in the completion of FAFSA and college applications for Spring semester
Assess postsecondary course performance for students in the community and follow the Postsecondary guide process for students receiving a grade of C or below to identify areas of support
Ensure list of students needing the February Biology MCAS is accurate
Identify MCAS needs for newly detained students
Guide postsecondary students in residential care to register for Spring courses
Submit DYS funding requests for postsecondary students
Make sure numbers are correct for MCAS order
Conduct Postsecondary Student Orientation in programs
Confirm postsecondary students in the community have books and transportation, understand how to navigate their classes and syllabi and identify additional resources and/or supports
Verify with schools that 12th graders are meeting graduation requirements and ensure the diploma, cap, and gown are ordered
Ensure list of students identified for the June STE MCAS testing session is accurate
Support the identification and verification of MCAS needs for newly detained students
Provide guidance to students to complete FAFSA and college applications for the Spring semester
Assess postsecondary course performance for students in the community and follow the Postsecondary Guide process for students receiving a grade of C or below to identify areas of support
Attend the MASCA conference (if funding is available)

Attend the DYS Youth Art Showcase (month subject to change)

Acquire diplomas for students who are graduating in residence

Attend the Caseworker Conference
Conduct a credit audit at the end of the year and update the grad grid. Update student grade level in Aspen when grade is successfully completed. Enter date of attainment and PG concentration for students with a High School diploma or HiSET attainment
Connect with Summer TCs about student progress, make initial contact to school to determine credits/appropriate grade placement for students
Update grad grid, as necessary, and connect with TC about new courses for students
Support parents and caseworkers to ensure students in the community are registered in school as necessary
Submit DYS funding requests for postsecondary students
