Field trips are intended to stimulate student interest and inquiry, providing them with opportunities to acquire insights, information and knowledge that enhance regular classroom instruction. To be educationally beneficial, field trips require thoughtful selection, careful advanced planning, and relevant follow-up activities. Field trip proposals must be forwarded to your Regional Education Coordinator as the final approval authority.
All final field trip proposals must be coordinated, reviewed, and approved with your Program Director’s signature before being forwarded. This will be considered confirmation that all DYS safety and security policies as well as resident “pass” procedures have been adhered to and followed as required.
