Guest speakers are intended to stimulate student interest and inquiry, providing them with opportunities to acquire insights, information and knowledge that enhance regular classroom instruction. To be educationally beneficial, guest speaker engagements require thoughtful selection, advanced planning, and relevant follow-up activities. Guest speaker proposals must be forwarded to your Regional Education Coordinator as the final approval authority.
All final guest speaker proposals must be coordinated, reviewed, and approved with your Program Director’s signature before being forwarded. This will be considered confirmation that all DYS safety and security policies have been adhered to and followed as required.
