2022 - 2023 Admin & Leadership Team Meetings Calendar

Attendance Expectations for Wednesday Meetings

    • It is the teachers’ professional responsibility to attend all Wednesday meetings. Teachers who cannot be present for scheduled meetings must inform their assigned administrator.

    • Please do not schedule doctor, dental, or any other personal appointments for Wednesdays until after 3:30 p.m.

    • Additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the Administration.

Expectations for Department and Professional Learning Community (PLC) Meetings

    • Attendance is mandatory.

    • Rocky River minute forms, data analysis forms, and attendance must be emailed/forwarded to the assigned administrator within 24 hours of the conclusion of the meeting.

    • Within the first week of school, PLC’s should inform their assigned administrator of the day, time, and location of their meetings. When the date, time, and/or location changes be sure to notify your assigned administrator.

    • All staff members are required to follow the PLC model and expectations.

Committee Norms & Expectations

    • First meeting-Clear and concise charges, deadlines conveyed by administration.

    • Attendance is always taken.

    • You MUST attend your monthly meeting; you many only be excused by your assigned administrator.

    • The Co-Chairs are the facilitators, and are not responsible for doing all the work.

    • Standard I, function B of the North Carolina Teacher Evaluation process states that teachers demonstrate leadership in the school. At Rocky River High School our committees do the work of our school. To receive a rating in this category you need to do the following:

A. To be developing: You attend all meetings

B. To be proficient: You attended all meetings and you have documentation that you contributed (evidence of time, effort, accomplishments signed off by committee chair) on several functions (at least three).

C. To be accomplished: You must attend all meetings & you have documentation that you contributed (evidence of time, effort, accomplishments signed off by committee chair) on several functions (at least three) & you took the leadership role on a major function or initiative.

** Each teacher should complete a written reflection/list of accomplishments on their committee (To be discussed during your mid-year & summative).

Beginning Teacher Support Committee

***required for beginning teachers in years 0-3 their assigned CMS trained mentor***


Lead(s): Dr. Kai Jones

Support: Lavonna Felton and Chiquita Boyd

Goal: To provide beginning teachers with school based support and to manage state and district compliance guidelines for North Carolina beginning teachers.


Roles and Duties:

    • Share and develop cultural and instructional strategies that contribute to a positive learning environment.

    • Share research based findings and strategies with PLC’s and department members.

    • Build professional relationships with mentors, instructional coaches, support staff, families and the community.

    • Organize new teacher orientation.

    • Fulfill the requirements that are necessary to adhere to State licensure guidelines and regulations.

    • Work with the EC department to execute 504 plans and IEP’s according to State compliance regulations.
