"The Yellow Wallpaper" is a short story, by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. It is RICH for analysis on multiple levels- feminist, psychoanalytical, gothic... there's even a little fairytale suggestion- a twisted one albeit, but still. As we listen, annotate your text paying special attention to Gothic elements. We will be conducting a circle discussion of the story after individual analysis, so be prepared to engage in academic conversation about the story.
