Managing Harassment

Everyone has the right to feel safe and free from Harassment and Bullying. Unfortunately bullying can happen in many different settings including the workplace, school, on line or in person.

Bullying is when people repeatedly and intentionally use words or actions against someone or a group of people to cause distress and risk to their wellbeing. These actions are usually done by people who have more influence or power over someone else, or who want to make someone else feel less powerful or helpless.

Bullying is not the same as conflict between people (like having a fight or argument) or disliking someone, even though people might bully each other because of conflict or dislike.

If you believe that you have been harassed or bullied at school please speak to a trusted person, family member, Head of House or a member of the Wellbeing Team. The sooner the school receives information about a bullying issue, the quicker they can respond. Staff understand that it can be distressing to report bullying and will support you/your child as much as possible.
