Wellbeing Counselling Services

The Wellbeing Team Counsellors support students to engage with school, address barriers to education and to assist them to achieve their goals.  The Wellbeing Team consists of qualified counsellors able to support students and families in a wide range of situations.  To promote wellbeing and positive mental health, the Wellbeing Team Counsellors work with students individually, in groups and through whole school initiatives to develop and build;

Appointment, Confidentiality, Duty of Care

REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT:

Through the General Office:

Students and Parents can make a request to see a counsellor through the Student Services Office by asking one of the staff to book an appointment time.

Through a staff member:

Students or Parents can make a request to see a counsellor by having a chat to a trusted staff member who will then make a referral on the student’s behalf with their consent.

Online:

Students can request an appointment online through SIMON by clicking on the Wellbeing Team on School Links then clicking the Book an appointment tile.

Please note that this online booking process is not intended for urgent appointments and will be checked once a week.  A response to the student will occur by Tuesday of each week. Urgent appointments can be accessed by contacting student services.

Directly:

Parents can make contact with a member of the Wellbeing Team through the General Office at either site:

Duty of Care:

There are times when the information that you share cannot be kept confidential as we have a Duty of Care to students and families.  Times when students present as ‘at risk’ to harming themselves, someone is harming them or they are ‘at risk’ of harming someone else a Wellbeing Team Counsellor would need to talk to a responsible adult.  The Wellbeing Team Counsellor would, where possible, have a conversation with the student and family as to who this may be and what the conversation may sound like.
