It’s official! IEFLA is hosting the 2027 CLTA Conference, February 25–28, 2027, in Ontario, California, and we’re now accepting proposals!
Ready to share your ideas, strategies, and expertise with fellow world language educators?
📣 Workshop proposals are due by September 30.
📣 Interest session proposals are due by the end of October 30.
We’d love to see your session on the 2027 program! Don’t miss the opportunity to share your work with the California language education community.

❄️ Looking for a fun way to end class? Try the “Snowball Exit Ticket”! ☃️
This simple activity gets students moving while reviewing what they’ve learned:
📝 Students write their name and a question they know the answer to.
❄️ Crumple the paper up and… let the snowball fight begin!
🛑 When you say “STOP!”, students pick up a snowball.
📖 They open it, answer the question, and find the person who wrote it to check their answer.
That’s it! A quick review + student interaction + movement + a little controlled chaos. 😂

For the session proposal you will fill out a Google Form with some basic information (see links to forms below). We suggest you use a brief and interesting title that hooks the participants. You will provide a short abstract of what you'll be sharing in your session (less than 300 words, please). That's it! Keep in mind sessions will be 60 minutes in length.

CIEE is looking for a few teachers that can help coordinate for them across the world! Being a coordinator can be a great side hustle for teachers to earn some extra cash, travel the world, and help to connect their local community with cultures from across the world.
Coordinators typically:
Are curious about other cultures
Enjoy spending time encouraging and working with teenagers
Want to share their community with other cultures
Love to travel!
Coordinators are paid for their help and go on some pretty amazing trips! In the next 12 months CIEE will be going on trips to Costa Rica, México, Iceland, and Italy!
