13 Painting

Level 3 Painting incorporates drawing and painting through 2 internal assessments and an external Visual Arts folio. The course includes access to 22 credits. This course expects students to develop a clear individual proposal which will drive their practice throughout the year. Students will build on the painting style they have developed over the previous years to create an interesting, conceptual, and skillful body of work that will be marked externally. There is a three board folio completed in this year.  There are a range of techniques and approaches ypou can explore, including realism, expressiona nd abstraction. We have had huge success with scholarship in Painitng in the past four years with 4 Oustanding schoalrship boards, and 18 Scholarships. Scholarship is taught in class alongside the folio.

There is a materials fee for this course of approximately $40 which you must pay through Officemax. This covers paper(s), gesso, drawing media, painting mediums, the folio boards and both folio and double sided tape.
