Department Vision & Values

Kia mau ki nga mahi toi

(Hold steadfast to Creativity)

Our Vision Statement

The Visual Arts department will maximise student potential through implementation of consistent, interesting and challenging programmes across the Visual Arts disciplines. Staff are committed to creating a positive, collaborative environment for learning and will model best practice through a commitment to data driven goal setting and reflective inquiry. Visual arts students are encouraged to acknowledge their own individuality and cultural background while making connections between their own creative approaches, and those within local and global art practices.
