Grade 2 - Trip to Tala
On Wednesday morning the 6th of September our Grade 2s set off on their trip to Tala Game Reserve. There was great excitement on the bus as our little people discussed all the animals that they hoped to see, they certainly weren’t disappointed! While there, our children enjoyed a night drive where they saw lots of rhino’s, ostriches, wildebeest and a variety of bucks. They learnt how to make a fire in the wild without matches or a lighter. They identified animal spoor and hiked through the bush. They were treated to an amazing snake show where they learnt about a variety of different snakes and even got to hold a ball python. For down time our children swam in the rock pools and were given a chance to relax. The trip back to Clifton on Friday was a great deal quieter than the trip to Tala as our Grade 2s, tired but happy, looked forward to sharing all they had experienced with their families back home.
