Grade 00 - Termly Reflection

Our Shonglolo's exciting term was filled with wonderful activities and learning experiences. To kick off the term, we embraced the spirit of giving and caring by preparing delicious soup for the 27 children at Sikhulile Nursery, part of Midlands Community College, on Mandela Day. It was heart-warming to see our little ones eagerly chopping, grating, and packing vegetables with determination.

Each week has been a journey of discovery and creativity. On "Out and About" days, we ventured into different areas throughout our beautiful campus. During Literacy Week, we had great fun dressing up as our favourite book characters, sparking our imaginations into the wonderful world of books. The final activity of Literature Week was the fun-filled Mini Olympics where we showcased our sporting talents and thoroughly enjoyed the obstacle course, sibling race, and studoot relay!

After a warmer and much-needed mid-term break, we performed for our beloved Grandparents and Grand Special Friends. We shared our talents through songs and rhymes, creating precious memories together.

With the arrival of spring, on the 1st of September,  we celebrated by planting our own flowers in the sensory trays and even planted plants in pots to take home! Our campus became a haven for baby Shongololos, and we embarked on a fascinating journey of learning about bugs and their life cycles. Show and Tell days became a buzz of excitement as we explored the world of insects.

As we approach the end of the term, we eagerly anticipate our Mini Comrades event. It is always a highlight, a time for all of us to enjoy showing off our skills, courage, and determination to complete the various laps around the exciting course in the Headmaster’s Woods.

Term three has been a fantastic term for our ever-changing and developing Shonogololos! It has been, filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable moments.
