This means we work hard to ensure that everyone in our school
knows about their rights and that everyone values,
respects and promotes children's rights.
Children's Rights are embedded in everything we do!
We worked together to create Charters for our school that
make sure everyone knows their Rights and their Rights are respected
First, we and looked at the Convention of the Rights of the Child to choose
the articles that support different areas in our school life.
We decided to create a Redwell Charter, a Playground Charter and a Lunchtime Charter.
Next, we decided how we would display the most important rights on each Charter
To explain what the Right Holder's and Duty Bearer's responsibility is.
We launched each Charter at different assemblies so make sure everyone knows what they
are, what they say, why we have them and where they are displayed.
Here are our Charters with a short video introduction to each one.
Our Redwell Charter identifies the Rights we should enjoy and respect across every part of our school life.
This also supports our Redwell Way.
Our Lunchtime Charter identifies the Rights we should enjoy and respect to make sure everyone enjoys
eating their lunch in the lunch hall and outside at the Amphitheatre and picnic tables.
Our Playground Charter identifies the Rights we should enjoy and respect to make sure everyone enjoys
playtime and lunch time in our playground.
