I used bamboo, a basket, and a wooden stand. The peers to whom I presented my lamp design said that it looked cool especially the wooden board under the basket because we could place pencil case, or our devices such as cellphones or headphones. Also, they said it looks stable because it has three stands at the bottom. Also, they said the unique design of your stand made my lamp to be more safe. They also said they liked my presentation’s design. The source inspired me because of its unique design and uses. The lamp has three stands and there is opaque paper that covers the basket. Because of this, it looks subtle and light. Furthermore, I won’t easily get my eyes tired because of the basket that is covering the light bulb.
I spent around 2 weeks and a half to finish this task. It took me 5 days to finish criteria A and planning for my lamp. After that, I started working on my lamp it took me around 2 weeks, and right after I was done with my lamp, I worked on my criteria C. After I was done reviewing my criteria and making sure it was done, I assisted my classmates to finish their work on the lamp. I assisted Aj with Harry in painting his lamp. And AJ and Harry helped me when I was struggling with sawing the wooden board.
At first, I started by searching for lamps that are made of sustainable materials. And then, I realized that there are many kinds of lamps so, I decided to choose one type! I thought about what type of lamp students in or 20s mostly bought, then I thought study lamps would be popular for them because students would need study lamps because they are essential for them. As the same as for the 20s. The next thing I researched was the design and the species of materials that I was going to use for my lamp. The material is kind of limited because it is hard to bring some kind of metal stand. I wanted my lamp to be and look unique so I decided to put three stands and put a wooden board on the stands so that I could put my cell phone and listen to music it is way better to put my cell phone on air rather than floor. Therefore, my design was chosen! Now, the only thing I need to do is to make my lamp and explain it to G5 and 7 peers. Finally, we started to saw our stuff instead of drawing my lamp on the paper.
First, I got the wire and peeled it out, then I attached it to my circuit. After that, I tested it if it is working well by plugging it in.
After that, I saw two wooden boards and bamboo to form the desired shape like a circle. It was hard so I kindly asked Harry, Aj, and Mcanthon if they could help me sawing the thingy. Secondly, I used a glue gun to attach the stands on the wooden board I sawed and one wooden board on top of it.
At the last part of project making, I asked Mr.Saclo to assist me in hammering a bamboo stand on the top of the wooden board and attaching my lightbulb which is covered by a basket using a glue gun. I helped Aj paint his lamp with Harry as a color white.
The lamp design can catch the attention of the audience based on the authenticity and originality of the materials used in the project.
