In the end, I tested my design by first, testing the light by checking if it stood up properly or not, secondly, I checked if the light bulb was working. The feedback of AJ said that my light was good and bright. I tested my design consistency by leaving it off for long periods and then turning it on for a long time. The designs from online sources inspired me because they looked so smooth and had a nice vibe. I also was inspired because I thought that I could make such a nice lamp like that. An interesting part was how they could choose a nice and perfect colour for the design.
The amount of time that I used for creating my lamps was no less than 2 weeks because we had 3 stages. The first stage was the drafting, In this stage, we had to draw and draft lamp designs that we were inspired by and ones that we created, A few of these designs I was inspired by were in the links and resources in the question above. The second step that I did was the wire-creating stage, in this stage, we had to splice and connect the wires onto a plug, during this stage we had to use box cutters which Mr. Saclo helped us with this. The last step that we had was the lamp-creating stage, in this stage, we had to cut, prepare and connect the wood and materials to create our final design.
The first step in creating our design was the researching stage, in this stage, we had to research and find designs that we liked and wanted to make in our final design, the second step was the drafting stage, in this stage, we needed to use the cites that we found that inspired us, after we found those cites, we needed to draw and draft designs that we like and could use in our final designs, in this stage, I had about 20 designs that I liked but could only pick 3. The third step that I did was the splicing stage, in this stage, we had to cut a wire to the metal, which we called splicing, and then connect the metal to a plug so our lamp could get energy. To put it in the plug, we had to open the plug then circle the metal into the screws and then closed the plug. The fourth step was the final drawing, in this step, we had to choose one design to use for our final design, the design I chose was a table lamp, I chose this because I thought it would be easier to make and cooler. The last step was the creating stage, in this stage, we had to make our lamp by sawing wood into our shapes and sizes, nailing wood so it was sturdy and lastly sanding and glueing the wood so it was clean and smooth.
