If your district participates in Google Voice through your Google for Education applications, contact your technology department about setting up your Gmail account.
Google Voice is only available for nonprofit and personal communications. If you are using Google Voice for business or "for profit" purposes, contact Google for Business before setting up a Google Voice account.
Communication with parents/students is critical during this time. In an effort to maintain your privacy as a teacher, and not share your personal phone numbers with students/parents, you have the ability to create a Google Voice account. Google Voice is a free service, provided by Google, that anyone can use to make personal phone calls through an Internet protocol (VoIP).

Setting up the Google Voice application will prevent your personal number from being displayed on caller IDs and control the notifications you receive during “off duty” hours. These calls can be received or completed on cell phones, by text messages, a computer, or even a home landline.
