Getting Started with Google Classroom

Logging into Classroom

To access Google Classroom, you will need to go to classroom.google.com, and sign-in to Classroom using the Gmail and password provided by your division.

The Stream Tab

The stream tab is an excellent way to post announcements to your students. Whether you choose to allow students to post comments on the stream tab is a choice that you can make when setting up your classroom.

Adding Students to Your Classroom

Once your classroom is created, you are now ready to add your students to your classroom. There are two ways of doing this; invite students using their school Gmail address or providing a class code for your students.

Google Classroom Settings and Maintenance

Having the ability to control your settings in Google Classroom will allow you to choose how you are notified regarding announcements, class comments, private comments, and student work in both the classes you are enrolled and the classes that you create. If you have downloaded the Google Classroom app, on either your IOS or Android device, you can control these settings from your computer using the settings menu.
