Día 8 : Voltamos a casa
Nos filles, permitídesnos nesta última entrada da nosa viaxe a Narbonne tomar a palabra? Merci... Coas maletas feitas e cheas de experiencias, a Institution Sevigne despedíavos hoxe con outra benvida, esta vez ás xornadas de portas abertas.
Volvía a abrirvos as súas portas, no mesmo salón onde vos recibiu, pero esta vez para sempre. Porque o voso bo facer e a disposición que demostrastes ao longo de toda esta semana lembrarase durante moito tempo nese colexio francés.
Nos filles, will you allow us to speak in this last entry of our trip to Narbonne? Merci... With our bags packed and full of experiences, the Institution Sevigne said goodbye to you today with another welcome, this time to the open house days.
It has opened its doors to you again, in the same room where it had received you, but this time forever. Because your good work and the willingness that you have showed throughout this entire week will be remembered for a long time in that French school.

Esta viaxe era moi importante para vós, pero tamén para o colexio que vos acolleu, pois tanto eles como vós comezabades a gran aventura de Erasmus. Carla e máis eu podemos dar fe do ben que o fixestes ambas partes. A foto de familia desta xornada é o mellor exemplo diso.
This trip has been very important for you, but also for the school which has hosted you, because both they and you were starting the great Erasmus adventure. Carla and me can attest to how well you both did. The family photo from this day is the best example of that.
Un pequeno retraso na saída do tren cara a Barcelona non vos roubou ese sorriso co que traballastes toda a semana. O mesmo que conquistou á xente coa que convivistes.
A small delay in the departure of the train to Barcelona did not rob you of that smile with which you have worked all week. The same thing that has conquered the people you lived with.
E así seguistes durante a visita que fixemos a Barcelona ao chegar de Narbonne.
And so you continued during the visit we have made to Barcelona upon arriving from Narbonne.
Agora ben, onde demostrastes ese bo talante que tedes foi cando vos empeñastes en que a vosa compañeira Amara puidese conseguir esa preciada foto coa copa da Champions do Barça. Ata nós emocionámonos vendo como entrabades todas xuntas acompañándoa, e como saiades orgullosas co trofeo.
Now, where you showed that good spirit you have was when you insisted that Amara could get that precious photo with the Barça Champions League cup. Even we were moved seeing how you all entered together accompanying her, and how you left proudly with the trophy.
E con todo o cansancio que cargabades na mochila aínda caminastes cara á estación de tren de Barcelona Sants para volver a sorrir fronte a ela.
And with all the tiredness you carried in your backpack, you still walked towards the Barcelona Sants train station to smile again in front of it.
Agora esperamos que esta gran viaxe non remate aquí, senón que sexa un gran comezo e a demostración de que podedes ser comandantes da vosa vida. Porque, se non sodes comandantes da vosa vida, quen o será?
Now we hope that this great journey does not end here, but rather that it is a great beginning and a demonstration that you can be the commanders of your life. Because, if you are not the commanders of your life, who will be?

Día 7 : Balance e bolera
Despois de traballar todas xuntas no balance semanal dividímonos en dous grupos para asistir de novo ás clases coas nosas compañeiras de acollida. Hoxe tocounos clase de Physique e Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre. As dúas clases estiveron moi interesantes. Aprendimos moito de circuitos eléctricos e fixemos uns carteis para o noso proxecto En busca da auga.
After working all together on the weekly balance, we divided into two groups to attend the classes again with our foster colleagues. Today we were played by Physique and Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre. The two classes were very interesting. We learned a lot from electric circuits and made some posters for our project in search of water.
Hoxe, Madame Parra invitounos a comezar o día facendo balance da nosa semana en Narbonne. Así que, como xa somos todas unhas expertas en Canva, para nós foi un placer pensalo e facelo.
Today, Madame Parra invited us to start the day by taking stock of our week in Narbonne. So, as we are all a Canva experts, for us it was a pleasure to think about it and do it.
Pola tarde tivemos a oportunidade de coñecer ao grupo de alumnos e alumnas de 4º (que é o equivalente no noso país a 2º da ESO) que están traballando nun proxecto eTwinning co noso colexio e a profesora Carla. Como están estudando español, fixemos grupos de traballo para falar e que eles tamén practicasen a nosa lingua.
In the afternoon we had the opportunity to meet the group of 4th graders (which is the equivalent in our country to 2nd year of ESO) who are working on an eTwinning project with our school and Professor Carla. As they are studying Spanish, we have made working groups to speak and that they also practiced our language.
Este día tan intenso no colexio e tan especial para nós, por ter que ir despedíndonos da xente que tan ben nos acolleu esta semana, non podíamos remátalo de outra mellor maneira que esta: todas as familias de acollida prepararon unha saída conxunta de venres noite á bolera. Todas queríamos facer strike!
This day so intense in the school and so special to us, for having to say goodbye to the people who welcomed us this week, we could not get it out of another better way than this: all the foster families prepared a joint departure of Friday night to the bowl. We all wanted to do Strike!
Día 6: En busca da auga
Hoxe o resumo do noso día abandérao o título do noso proxecto eTwinning En busca da auga, xa que a xornada de traballo centrouse en recopilar información para seguir avanzando nel.
Today, the summary of our day is flagged by the title of our eTwinning project In search of water, as the work day focused on collecting information to continue moving forward with it.
E comezamos o día contentas porque deixamos a choiva detrás. Así que decidimos usar os paraugas para emprender o noso camiño. Sigan vostedes o paraugas, por favor, e non se perdan...
And we started the day happy because we left the rain behind. So we decided to use the umbrellas to start our way. Please follow the umbrella, and don't get lost...
O primeiro que fixemos foi buscar os puntos da cidade de Narbonne onde a auga cobra protagonismo, polo que tivemos que parar no Canal de la Robine, que permite conectar o río Aude co mar Mediterráneo.
The first thing we did was look for the points in the city of Narbonne where water takes center stage, so we had to stop at the Canal de la Robine, which connects the Aude River with the Mediterranean Sea.
O primeiro que fixemos foi buscar os puntos da cidade de Ademais de auga nós vimos que era un lugar fantástico para facernos outra foto de grupo.

Coa información recopilada ao longo do noso paseo por Narbonne, pola tarde comezamos a traballar coas nosas compañeiras de acollida e con oito ecodelegados da Institution Sévigné para crear conxuntamente unha reportaxe verde sobre os puntos fortes que caracterizan aos nosos colexios dende un punto de vista ecolóxico e sostible.
With the information collected throughout our walk through Narbonne, in the afternoon we began working with our host colleagues and eight eco-delegates from the Sévigné Institution to jointly create a green report on the strengths that characterize our schools from an ecological and sustainable point of view.
Formamos grupos internacionais e dividimos os contidos do traballo para que todos puidésemos contribuir non só na creación do traballo, senón tamén no fortalecemento das nosas relacións e a práctica dos idiomas.
We formed international groups and divided the contents of the work so that we could all contribute not only to the creation of the work, but also to strengthening our relationships and practicing languages.
Trala posta en común das nosas ideas dixirímonos a darlle forma á nosa reportaxe.
After sharing our ideas, we set out to shape our report.
Como podedes observar, as diferenzas lingüísticas non foron un obstáculo e a nosa reportaxe xa está a piques de ser rematada.
As you can see, language differences were not an obstacle and our report is almost finished.
Ah! Case esquecemos mencionar que polá mañá, despois da búsqueda da auga tivemos a oportunidade de repoñer forzas nunha das pastelerías máis emblemáticas, doces e acolledoras da cidade. E que aquí entre macarons, chocolatines e coulants... unha vólvese tola.
Oh! We almost forgot to mention that this morning, after searching for water, we had the opportunity to regain our strength in one of the most emblematic, sweet and welcoming pastry shops in the city. And here, among the macarons, chocolatines and coulants... one goes crazy.
Día 5: En Narbonne tamén chove.
A quinta xornada da nosa viaxe Erasmus en Narbonne serviunos para darnos conta que temos outra cousa en común coas nosas compañeiras de acollida: ás veces tamén chove en Narbonne. O mellor dito, tamén ventea en Narbonne, porque fixo un vento máis frío...
A pesares diso temos que agradecer a Institution Sévigné, e sobre todo á súa directora e a Madame Parra, o feito de non haber suspendido a excursión programada para hoxe. Como pensar iso? Somos galegas! Así que arrancamos, esta vez en autobús e baixo a choiva, en dirección a Bages. Uns dez minutos despois xa estabamos alí. No mapa podedes ver onde foi o lugar no que baixamos.
The fifth day of our Erasmus trip in Narbonne helped us realize that we have something else in common with our host friends: sometimes it rains in Narbonne too. Or rather, it's also windy in Narbonne, because there was a colder wind... Despite this, we have to thank the Sévigné Institution, and especially its director and Madame Parra, for not canceling the excursion scheduled for today. How could we think that? We are Galician! So we set off, this time by bus and in the rain towards Bages. About ten minutes later we were there. You can see on the map where we got off.
Bages é unha vila situada na rexión de Occitania e o municipio de Côte du Midi, moi coñecida polo seu paraxe natural, a actividade pesqueira e o encanto que ofrecen as súas ruelas ao pasear nel.
Bages is a town located in the Occitanie region and the municipality of Côte du Midi, well known for its natural setting, fishing activity and the charm that its streets offer when walking through them.
De feito, atopámonos cunhas fotografías moi vellas nas que se mostra como eran esa ruelas vai xa moitos anos.
In fact, we found some very old photographs that show what those alleys were like many years ago.
Como o obxectivo da xornada de hoxe era coñecer de primeira man as características deste enclave natural relacionado directamente co noso proxecto eTwinning, saímos da vila para tomar notas e comprobar o que as nosas compañeiras xa nos contaran sobre os estanques deste lugar.
As the objective of today's day was to learn first-hand the characteristics of this natural enclave directly related to our eTwinning project, we left the village to take notes and check what our colleagues had already told us about the ponds in this place.
No transcurso do noso paseo puidemos comprobar que a beleza deste enclave natural de auga salgada da que nos falaran dende hai tempo era moi merecida. Ao longo do noso percorrido vimos varios estanques cheos de vida. Tanta, que en varios deles habitan mandas de flamengos.
During our walk we were able to see that the beauty of this natural saltwater enclave that we had been told about for a long time was well deserved. Along our route we saw several ponds full of life. So much so that flocks of flamingos live in several of them.
Unha das cousas que máis nos chamou a atención foi que é certo que dende o mes de xaneiro aumentou o nivel da auga destes estanques.
One of the things that caught our attention the most was that it is true that the water level in these ponds has increased since January.
Tanto camiñamos que ao final saímos do municipio de Bages en dirección a Peyriac de Mer, e aínda que non chegamos por mor do mal tempo, fixemos unha boa camiñada.
We walked so much that in the end we left the municipality of Bages towards Peyriac de Mer, and although we didn't arrive because of the bad weather, we had a good walk.
Unha cosa máis que pudeimos observar foi que moi preto da auga había viñedos. É certo que esta zona francesa é coñecida polos seus bos viños, pero non imaxinabamos que íamos a encontrar cultivos de uva neste paraxe.
One more thing we could observe was that there were vineyards very close to the water. It is true that this French area is known for its good wines, but we did not imagine that we would find grape crops in this place.
Credes que despois de cinco días xuntas aínda non tiñamos unha foto colectiva? Así que antes de subir ao autobús para volver ao colexio fixémonola.
Can you believe that after five days together we still didn't have a group photo? So before getting on the bus to go back to school we took one.
O autobús deixounos onde nos recolleu, preto da estación de tren, a dous pasiños da Institution Sévigné, polo que ao chegar aínda tivemos forzas de seguir traballando xuntas.
The bus dropped us off where it picked us up, near the train station, two steps from the Institution Sévigné, so upon arrival we still had the strength to continue working together.
Esta vez tocou xogar ao enforcado e á adiviñar palabras en francés e español empregando a mímica.
This time it was time to play hangman and guess words in French and Spanish using mime.
Día 4: Un paseo por Narbonne
Hoxe viviuse un día moi español na Institution Sévigné: foi o día de España. E aínda que soe un pouquiño raro ten unha explicación: no noso colexio francés están en plena Semana das Linguas e hoxe tocoulle a España. Acompañáronnos a bandeira, a comida e a música españolas ao longo do día. Puidemos comer paella, gazpacho, tortilla española... no comedor escolar ao tempo que se escoitaba na megafonía do colexio a canción de Amaia Montero, Quiero ser. Foi simpático ver á xente cos seus vasiños de gazpacho nas bandexas!
Today was a very Spanish day at the Sévigné Institution: it was Spain Day. And although it sounds a little strange, there is an explanation: in our French school they are in the middle of Language Week and today it was Spain's turn. The Spanish flag, food and music accompanied us throughout the day. We were able to eat paella, gazpacho, Spanish omelette... in the school cafeteria while the song Quiero ser by Amaia Montero was played on the school. It was nice to see people with their little glasses of gazpacho on their trays!
Despois de falarvos desta anécdota moi curiosa para nós, temos que dicir que o día de hoxe foi mooooooooi intenso. Camiñamos dabondo descubrindo algúns dos rincóns máis interesantes de Narbonne. O día, ao final, acompañounos, porque tiñamos ameaza de choiva e non se cumpriu. A luz estaba tan bonita pola mañá...
After telling you this very curious anecdote for us, we have to say that today was soooooooo intense. We walked a lot discovering some of the most interesting corners of Narbonne. The day, in the end, accompanied us, because we had a threat of rain and it did not come true. The light was so beautiful in the morning...
So we grabbed our backpacks and started walking.
O día cundiunos moito. Como din que “allí donde fueres haz lo que vieres...” nós non tivemos ningún problema para cumplilo. Onde? Nos Marchés aux Puces, que literalmente sería como dicir “Mercado das pulgas”, onde podes buscar en montóns de roupa a túa oportunidade. Non picamos nada, pero que ben o pasamos!
We really enjoyed the day. As it is said that “wherever you go, whatever you come...” we had no problem complying with it. Where? In the Marchés aux Puces, which would literally be like saying “Flea Market”, where you can search through piles of clothes for your opportunity. We didn't chop anything, but we enjoyed it!
Preto de alí atópase o Les Halles, o que xa dixéramos nunha entrada anterior do noso blog que era o equivalente ao Mercado de Abastos de Santiago. Así que, entramos coa idea de poder coñecer produtos da gastronomía local.
Nearby is Les Halles, which we had already said in a previous blog entry was the equivalent of the Santiago Food Market. So, we went in with the idea of being able to discover local gastronomic products.
Sen embargo, a nós o que nos interesaba degustar era algo que dende que chegamos non podemos esquecer... os macarons. Son tan bonitos, con esas cores tan rechamantes, e tan saborosos, que non puidemos negarnos o placer.
However, what we were interested in tasting was something that we haven't forgotten since we arrived... macarons. They are so pretty, with such striking colors, and so tasty, that we couldn't deny ourselves the pleasure.
Agora ben, se os macarons están bos, que podemos dicir das chocolatines?. Nada mellor que comerse unha para retomar forzas.
Now, if the macarons are good, what can we say about the chocolates? Nothing better than eating one to regain your strength.
Narbonne é unha cidade moi agradable de camiñar porque o seu centro histórico ofréceche unha mirada histórica repleta de vestixios romanos que se poden palpar. E saltar! Porque a Vía Domitia, situada xusto no centro do casco histórico, ao carón do Hotel de Ville (que non é un establecemento para durmir senón o concello da cidade) é unha tentación romana para todo o que pasa por alí.
Narbonne is a very pleasant city to walk around because its historic center offers you a historical look full of Roman vestiges that you can touch. And jump! Because the Via Domitia, located right in the center of the historic center, next to the Hotel de Ville (which is not an establishment for sleeping but the city council) is a Roman temptation for everyone who passes by.
E se de tentacións falamos... quen se pode resistir a un selfie ou unha foto cando ademais te invitan a facelo? O Pont des Marchands, no Canal de la Robine, é un marco incomparable para fotografiarse.
And speaking of temptations... who can resist a selfie or a photo when you're also invited to do so? The Pont des Marchands, on the Canal de la Robine, is an incomparable setting for taking photos.
Hoxe a nosa visita a Narbonne estivo centrada en coñecer o pasado romano desta cidade francesa. Por iso, despois de pasar pola Vía Domitia, dirixímonos cara o Horreum romain, un enclave cautivador baixo a terra que deixouno cos ollos abertos. E non soamente porque a visibilidade era moi baixa, senón porque con so imaxinar o que había nesta cidade na época romana un se sente moi pequeniño.
Today, our visit to Narbonne was focused on learning about the Roman past of this French city. Therefore, after passing through the Via Domitia, we headed towards the Horreum romain, a captivating underground enclave that left us with our eyes wide open. And not only because the visibility was very low, but because just imagining what was in this city in Roman times makes you feel very small.
Alí non soamente puidemos admirar o inxenio da arquitectura romana, senón tamén que a tradición portuaria de Narbonne era tan grande que soubemos que moitas das ánforas que alí había foron rescatadas do fondo mariño e barcos naufragados.
There we could not only admire the ingenuity of Roman architecture, but also that Narbonne's port tradition was so great that we learned that many of the amphorae there were rescued from the seabed and shipwrecked ships.
Agora ben, para darse conta da grandeza da arquitectura romana non hai mellor lugar en Narbonne que Narbo Vía. Quedamos marabilladas coa beleza e o tamaño do que alí había. Non víramos nunca tanta cantidade de mármore xunta.
Ata alí fomos nun pequeno autobús gratuito que nos deixou na mesma porta.
Now, to realize the grandeur of Roman architecture there is no better place in Narbonne than Narbo Vía. We were amazed by the beauty and size of what was there. We had never seen so much marble together. We went there in a small free bus that dropped us off at the same door.
Como diciamos ao principio, hoxe foi un día moi intenso. De grandes visitas e experiencias. E nada mellor que un gran banco para un gran descanso.
As we said at the beginning, today was a very intense day. Of great visits and experiences. And nothing better than a big bench for a great rest.
Día 3 en Narbonne: Todas ao cole!
Hoxe tivemos un día moi intenso. Por dicilo dalgunha maneira: chegaba o momento da verdade. Non podemos negar que estabamos moi nerviosas, pero ao final, rematamos o día moi satisfeitas de como nos foi todo e de como a xente respondeu á experiencia Erasmus.
Cando chegamos xa nos sentimos en Compañía. O logo do noso colexio dábanos a benvida, e a porta... era todo moi familiar para nós.
Today we had a very intense day. To put it in a way: the moment of truth had arrived. We cannot deny that we were very nervous, but in the end, we ended the day very satisfied with how everything went for us and how people responded to the Erasmus experience.
When we arrived we already felt like we were in Company. The logo of our school welcomed us, and the door... everything was very familiar to us.
Un almorzo de benvida nunha sala moi elegante e acolledora (tiña un piano de cola!) serviunos para quentar motores, repoñer forzas despois de madrugar. Alí, a directora e a coordinadora de Erasmus neste colexio fixeron que nos sintésemos coma na nosa casa.
A welcome breakfast in a very elegant and cozy room (it had a grand piano!) served to warm up our engines, to regain our strength after getting up early. There, the director and the Erasmus coordinator at this school made us feel at home.
Neste primeiro encontro explicáronos como sería o noso día, que como vades a ver a continuación, resultou ser todo un éxito.
In this first meeting, they explained to us what our day would be like, which as you will see below, turned out to be a complete success.
Despois de facer un percorrido polas instalacións do colexio coas nosas compañeiras de acollida para coñecelo, todo o alumnado francés de 5º (equivalente a 1º da ESO no noso país) escoitounos con moita atención.
After taking a tour of the school facilities with our host classmates to get to know them, all the French 5th grade students (equivalent to 1st grade of ESO in our country) listened to us attentively.
Nós lles falamos da cidade na que se atopa o noso colexio e despois pasamos a explicarlles en que consiste o noso proxecto eTwining En busca da auga. Poderedes creer que íamos con moito medo e ao final fixemos un total de oito presentacións? Dúas en cada unha das catro clases nas que estivemos. Vaia, que encantounos isto de ir dun sitio a outro facendo conferencias.
We told them about the city where our school is located and then we went on to explain to them what our project In Search of Water is about. Can you believe how scared we were and in the end we made a total of 8 presentations? 2 in each of the four classes we were in. Wow, we loved going from one place to another giving lectures.
Como podedes comprobar, a resposta foi moi positiva. Os compañeiros levantaban a súa man para facernos preguntas. Ao final estableceuse entre nós unha moi boa relación.
As you can see, the response was very positive. Colleagues raised their hands to ask us questions. In the end, a very good relationship was established between us.
Cremos que a meior maneira de concluír o resumo da xornada de hoxe é dicindo que fomos as auténticas protagonistas da Institution Sévigné no día de hoxe. É que estabamos no patio e todo o mundo quería estar con nós! Se nos preguntades se estamos contentas, a resposta é si. Que compañeiros de outro país, da túa idade, levanten a man despois da nosa presentación para felicitarnos, pois que queredes que vos digamos?, nos non sabíamos que dicir, pero saíunos un MERCI MOI GRANDE!
We believe that the best way to conclude today's summary is to say that we were the real protagonists of the Sévigné Institution today. We were in the courtyard and everyone wanted to be with us! If you ask us if we are happy, the answer is yes. What colleagues from another country, your age, raise their hands after our presentation to congratulate us, because what do you want us to say to you? We didn't know what to say, but we got a VERY BIG THANK YOU!
Ao rematar a xornada no colexio, marchamos facendo fila como todos no patio e dicindo ata mañá, coma a vós...
At the end of the school day, we left, lining up like everyone else in the playground and saying, "See you tomorrow, like you..."
Día 2: Día de familias
Que ben o pasamos en familia!
As nosas familias de acollida en Narbonne portáronse xenial con todas nosoutras. Ao longo do día tivemos a oportunidade de coñecer lugares, vivir experiencias novas, deleitar os nosos padais coa gastronomía do lugar e sobre todo... falar con acento francés.

Our host families in Narbonne were absolutely brilliant with all of us. Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to explore new places, dive into fresh experiences, tickle our taste buds with the local grub, and most importantly... have a go at talking with a French accent."
Unhas fomos a visitar o centro histórico de Narbonne. Alí coincidimos coas nosas profes, Carla e Gema!, xusto no Mercado Les Halles, que vén sendo un equivalente o noso mercado de abastos de Santiago pero máis grande. Canta xente ía.

Non todo foi cidade, tamén estivemos fóra da cidade visitando paraxes naturais.

Os animais tamén nos acolleron para subirnos ao máis alto. Para mostra, un botón...
"Even the animals gave us a warm welcome, offering us a lift to the highest points. Just to give you a taste..."
E cando a fame nos apretou, cociñamos un montón. Aprendimos as receitas tradicionais das cooikies da avoíña francesa.
"And when hunger struck, we did a fair bit of cooking! We learned the traditional recipes for French granny's cookies."
E moitos pensaredes: onde está o traballo relacionado co proxecto da auga? Paloma ten a resposta. E non son ideas de bombeira!

Día1: Viaxe a Narbonne vía Barcelona
O Clube Erasmus iniciou a súa ansiada aventura cara a Narbonne. A xornada comezou cedo no aeroporto de Santiago de Compostela, onde nos reunimos ás 8:20 da mañá, listos para emprender o voo a Barcelona.
The Erasmus Club began its long-awaited adventure to Narbonne. The day started early at Santiago de Compostela airport, where we met at 8:20 in the morning, ready to take the flight to Barcelona.
O voo despegou puntual, cos primeiros raios dun sol que facía presaxiar o fabuloso día que iamos a ter.
The flight took off on time, with the first rays of a sun that foreshadowed the fabulous day we were going to have.
En canto aterrou o avión en Barcelona, non tardamos nada en coller o tren de cercanías para achegarnos á cidade e dar un paseo pola Plaça de España. Canta xente ía!
As soon as the plane landed in Barcelona, we quickly took the commuter train to get closer to the city and take a walk around Plaça de España. How many people were there!
O bo tempo acompañounos para retomar forzas xantando ao aire libre.
The good weather accompanied us to regain strength by eating outdoors.
Na estación de metro que nos levaría de volta á Estació de Sants estaba chea de xente. Tivemos que esperar vinte minutos para poder adquirir un billete. Enterámonos que Maluma estaba na cidade para dar un concerto.
The metro station that would take us back to Estació de Sants was full of people. We had to wait twenty minutes to buy a ticket. We found out that Maluma was in the city to give a concert.
Xa na estación de Sants o pequeño retraso de máis de media hora non foi motivo para aburrirnos.
Already at Sants station, the small delay of more than half an hour was not a reason for us to get bored.
Aquí podedes ver o noso entusiasmo. Estabamos chegando á estación de Narbonne. As familias xa nos estaban esperando...
