Information on NEXT ASVAB TESTING DAY

8:00am in the Library

***This is a computer-based test: please bring your laptop. If you don’t have one, we can provide one for you.***

• The ASVAB Test will be available, free of charge, to all Cherry Hill East 11th and 12th graders who wish to take it. 

• The test will be given by an ASVAB Representative in the Library from 8:00am-11:00am (you have up to 3 hours).

• Because the 3-hour test requires that students miss some of their classes, we ask for parent/guardian permission before allowing a student to participate.

• To register, complete the parent/guardian permission form - ASVAB Test Permission Form  (print from this link or pick up paper form in Guidance office). Return signed form to Mrs. Lynch in Guidance by 4/24/25.

CCTS (Camden County Technical Schools) Career Connection Program - For High School Juniors and Seniors: Learn a skill during your senior year and have a successful future!

CCTS is proud to offer high school seniors essential workplace readiness skills, and the technical foundation required for entry into high-paying, in-demand careers, pre-apprenticeships in the construction/industrial industry, and/or entry into college.

Camden County juniors will apply to attend the after-school program during their senior year. Pending availability, seniors from surrounding counties in South Jersey may also apply.

Some programs are free, or scholarships may be available.

Infinity Flight Group - Be a Pilot! - Interested in becoming a pilot? Start here! This is the largest professional flight training provider in the Northeast (located at the Trenton-Mercer Airport).

Naviance - Career Interest Profiler & Career Cluster Finder  - Go to the "Careers" tab in Naviance and click on the "Career Interest Profiler." This tool can help you discover the type of careers that match your interests. The interest profiler has 180 questions about work activities that people do at their jobs.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook - This is a nationally recognized source of career information, straight from the U.S. Government (Bureau of Labor Statistics). The OOH has information about the nature of work, working conditions, training/education, earnings, and job outlook for hundreds of different occupations in the United States. It provides valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. This Handbook is revised every two years.

New Jersey Career Assistance Navigator - This college and career navigator provides free assistance on planning your future - interest profilers/career cluster inventory, information on occupations, information on colleges/education, and preparing for employment (resume, apply, interview).

Internships place students in a professional setting, such as a lab or an office, for lengths of time ranging from a few weeks to a semester or more.

Some interns are paid or receive credit for their work, but the real value of an internship is in the real-world skills and experiences you gain. You can develop important professional contacts and perhaps find a mentor - and become a more attractive college or job applicant.
