Before booking any travel, please confirm all flight details with your camp director to ensure they align with the camp’s schedule and transportation arrangements.. They will give you exact dates to arrive and depart, and which airports to fly in and out of.
The International Travel Agency can provide guided instructions and support related to visa requirements, and preparation for arriving in the U.S.
Make sure to complete all paperwork on time, attend your visa interview, and keep in regular contact with your agency representative to confirm that your visa has been approved before making travel arrangements.
Documents Needed to Travel:
When traveling to the U.S., it is important to have the following documents with you in your carry-on, not in a checked bag. Please confirm documents needed with your International Travel Agency.
Passport - Valid passport with at least six months validity
J1 Visa - Approved J1 visa stamp in your passport
DS-2019 Form - Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor Status.
SEVIS Fee Payment Receipt - Proof that your SEVIS fee has been paid.
Camp Contract or LOA (Letter of Agreement) - Confirmation of your employment at camp
Having all documents easily accessible during travel will help ensure a smooth entry into the U.S. and allow you to present them when requested at the airport or border.
