The Creekview Band program is truly the Pride of Carrollton-Farmer Branch ISD, as we strive for excellence in music, performance, and academics. The band program at Creekview High School is a part of the CHS Fine Arts Department comprising of Choir, Orchestra, Art, Dance, & Theatre/Theatre Tech.

The band program is composed of a total enrollment of 160 students, comprised of three concert ensembles, Jazz Ensemble, percussion ensemble, full orchestra, color guard, winter guard and the Creekview Marching Band. The concert ensembles include the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band where students will audition every semester to be placed in one of the three bands. All Creekview Band students participate in the TMEA All-Region Band process, UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest, as well as having the option for the TMEA All-Region Jazz Band and NTCA guard competition. The Creekview Bands have received numerous sweepstakes awards and superior ratings at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Contests in its history.

Since its inaugural year, the Mustang Band has participated in the UIL Area marching contest and performed in numerous Bands of America Marching Contests and has participated at the Texas State Marching Band Contest. The Creekview Wind symphony was selected as a “National Winner” for their 2009, 2017 recordings by the Foundation for Music Education in their National Honors Competition.

The Creekview Wind Symphony, in 2017 advanced to the Area round of competition in the TMEA 5A Honor Band Contest and is honored to have received an invitation both as a featured performer at the 2018 and 2023 Music For All National Concert Band Festival and Featured Percussion Ensemble for the Sandy Feldstein Percussion Festival and in recent past was a featured performing ensemble a the 2011 Midwest Clinic in Chicago.

Our personality is defined by confidence, devotion, ambition, and compassion. We have the drive and determination to use our opportunities to the fullest and exceed our potential. We are a diverse group of accepting individuals that pull together to ultimately create a large family. The fun we have is enjoyed frequently in ways that are inclusive and positive for both individuals and the collective program. Through hard work and dedication, the early mornings and long nights we commit allow us to grow closer, have fun, and make lasting memories.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Creekview High School Band is to create an environment where we compete at a professional level while accepting and caring for one another. We are passionately driven to succeed through focus and productivity. By demonstrating consistency in performance, the Mustang Band is setting the standard through achievement in which it develops a healthy team concept, strong individuals, and exceptional leaders. The band experience should be one that leaves a lasting character impression and one that facilitates lessons that apply to life in general. The Creekview Band most importantly does not lose sight of its PRIDE:
