Smoking / vaping is not allowed anywhere on Caledonia Community School grounds.

eCigarettes, Vaping, and Tobacco

Smoking, vaping, and other tobacco uses are a danger to a student's health and to the health of others. The school prohibits the sale, distribution, use, or possession of any form of tobacco or eCigarette product during school time or at any school activity. This prohibition also applies when going to and from school and at school bus stops. Violations of this rule could result in suspension, expulsion, and a loss of extra-curricular attendance privileges. "Use of tobacco" shall mean all uses of tobacco, including cigars, cigarettes, eCigarettes, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco, snuff, or any other matter or substance that contains tobacco, nicotine, or vapor juice, in addition to papers used to roll cigarettes. The display of unlighted cigars, cigarettes, pipes, other "smoking" or “vaping” paraphernalia or tobacco products on one's person is also prohibited by this policy.

Consequences

1st Offense-2 days OSS (recommendation to complete Vape or Tobacco education modules)

2nd Offense-5 days OSS and loss of extracurricular attendance privileges for one calendar year

3rd Offense-10 days OSS (Referral to law enforcement)
