The Palmetto Assistance Loan (PAL) is South Carolina Student Loan's low, fixed interest rate, private education loan for students, or their parents. The PAL can be used to pay for educational expenses, such as tuition and fees, room and board, books, school supplies, transportation, and a computer.

The state of South Carolina explicitly prohibits undocumented students from attending any public postsecondary institutions, including community colleges. Students w/ DACA can attend public institutions once they go through a federal verification process. However, students with undocumented parents are assumed to have out-of-state residence and it is up to the student to prove SC domicile. More info here and here.
