- Meet 2 of 3 criteria: 1) 3.0 GPA, 2) Top 30% of class, 3) 1100 SAT/ 24 ACT
- Up to $5000 each academic year.
- Pays full tuition at 2-year colleges and eligibility is just having 3.0 GPA
- For students not qualifying for LIFE, Palmetto, or Lottery Tuition Assistance
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Up to $2,800 for freshman year in college.
- Can be upgraded to LIFE scholarship if student meets 3.0 during freshman year of college.
- Provide additional financial aid to South Carolina's neediest students.
- No application necessary-- universities will select qualifying students.
- Up to $2500 per year.
- Up to $2280 per year ($95 per credit hour)
- For students at 2-year technical institutions & USC regional campuses & Spartanburg Methodist.
- Up to $3,300 for students attending a SC private university.
- Requirements: graduate in the upper 75% of the high school class OR score at least 900 SAT OR 19 ACT OR graduate with a final high school GPA of 2.0 or higher on the SC Uniform Grading Policy.
- Application completed by HS counselor by Dec 15 or June 15 of student's senior year.
- Amount: up to $6,700 freshman year, $7,500 remaining years ($10K for some STEM majors)
- Eligibility 1: Ranked in top 6% of class & 1200 SAT/27 ACT & 3.5 GPA
- or
- Eligibility 2: 1400 SAT/32 ACT & 4.0 GPA
- For employees or dependents of employees of Dayco.
- For public school students interested in creative writing, dance, music, theatre, or visual arts.
- Deadline: Feb 4
- 5 scholarships of $2000 each

The Palmetto Assistance Loan (PAL) is South Carolina Student Loan's low, fixed interest rate, private education loan for students, or their parents. The PAL can be used to pay for educational expenses, such as tuition and fees, room and board, books, school supplies, transportation, and a computer.

Information for Undocumented/DACA Students
Information for Undocumented/DACA Students
The state of South Carolina explicitly prohibits undocumented students from attending any public postsecondary institutions, including community colleges. Students w/ DACA can attend public institutions once they go through a federal verification process. However, students with undocumented parents are assumed to have out-of-state residence and it is up to the student to prove SC domicile. More info here and here.

South Carolina has the most repressive education laws for DACA & undocumented students in the country. Students can also check out cheap out of state tuition at 3 NC universities through the NC Promise.
