2021-2022 Freight Frenzy

team of #10075 Thunder Ducks!

We the Thunder Ducks were a rookie team full of 7th and 8th graders. We had 4 Builders, 3 Programmers, 2 CAD people, 4 Drivers and all of us on notebook. In the Qualification Competition we won 1/6 and got the place of 16 out of 24. Overall from this season we won 10 out of 22 matches and our high score of points is 145 in real matches but in mock competitions was around 180 points.

#10075 ROBOT

Our robot consist of a Duck Wheel, Arm, Drive Train and Control Hub. Our competitions went good point wise especially the duck wheel that's how we racked up points. Our pros of the robot are the Duck Wheel, the program "zero brake power" and the new Drive Train. Cons of our robot were the old Driver Train (wheels fell off), The Auto Programs not working, Wire Management, hard wear becoming loose and the Plexiglas.

Team of #10077 Llamas in suits!

We are the Llamas in Suits; our team consists of experienced, rookie, and amateur members. Our team has 3 builders, 1 programmer, and 1 media. 5 people on a team led to each person having too much work on their plate. Luckily we were able to finish it before the Qualifiers and won 7 out of 22 matches. That may not sound like a lot, but for a smaller stressed team, we did well. Next year we hope to increase our team size and split the workload more evenly to do even better.

#10077 Robot (Brenda 2.0)

Our Omni Directional wheel design was very unique and qualified for a design award. There were some cons to our design, but, we improved them after each tournament making it fully functional. Our arm and duck spinner worked well and we managed to score a good amount of points with them. After we switched to encoder motors, programming became a breeze. During the tournament, however, our drivers didn't have enough practice so we ended up getting last, but, it was a massive learning journey, and our team can't wait to improve next year.
