Recycle Rush was a recycling-themed game played by two alliances of three robots each, competing on separate sides of the field with no direct interaction. The goal was to stack totes (plastic storage containers) on scoring platforms, place recycling containers (trash cans) on top of those stacks for bonus points, and dispose of “litter” (pool noodles) either into the containers or the opposing side’s field. The game emphasized stacking accuracy and speed, with autonomous and teleoperated periods. Because alliances didn’t interact defensively, the game focused on strategic cooperation and efficient scoring rather than blocking or physical defense.
