First Subgroups

FIRST® is inclusive to all ages whether you are a student, mentor, teacher, or a volunteer. Everyone can come together and collaborate on a greater cause.

FIRST® is a student lead program, mentors are there to help guide us through our journey. Since this is a nonprofit organization everyone included are all donating their time and energy to help support the minds of our future. Students are given many different opportunities to learn about STEAM and fields in engineering.

What first is all about

FIRST® is all about the experiences you can gain from all the people who are brought together. Mentors are very important, they can guide you and help you find the best way to do things, but they also make sure that you gain your own experiences. Regular mentor meetings keep them on the same page with students and their progress.

To make sure our team is efficient we have Student Leaders, they are like mentors for each different section robotics takes your team. Build, programming, CAD, media, and scouting leads are all very important to make sure everyone is on task. Mentors select someone they think will be very knowledgeable and not afraid to assert themselves to keep students on task.

We also encourage students in FRC to mentor the students in FTC and FLL. Not only giving them experiences in leading, but helping build bonds from the new and old participants.

Giving students the chance to learn about STEM in a more fun setting than a school classroom is very important. We reinforce many tools that will provide them with skills they can use no matter where life takes them.
