IT BTEC LEVEL 3 National Extended Certificate in IT

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Information Technology is intended for learners who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the IT sector. This qualification is designed for learners who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information, alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in IT.

The qualification is equivalent to one A Level and aims to give a rounded understanding of how Information Technology is used by organisations as a means of allowing their businesses to systematically function.
